A Company Where Photos Are Handled With Care & Love
All of this came about when I started looking for my own wedding photographer. In my search I came across a variety of wedding photographers that offer great photography with a high package price.
I was looking for a photographer with a sense of style and composition for an affordable price. So, I thought maybe I should just have the disposable camera on each table or have one of my family members or guests take photos. After all, it would be a very small, and intimate wedding. But then again I thought, this is my wedding and it is a very special day where precious moments and memories will be treasured for a lifetime. I wanted to have quality photos in my photo book.
My goal was to have a simple package where I can have all the digital negatives on dvd with the option of printing my best shots at a reasonable price.
In the midst of all the research and the inspiration from wedding photographers, I began to think to myself I could do this! I have the skills...the experience...and most importantly the passion I have in photography! Why don't I offer affordable, high quality photos & prints to future brides and grooms!
"So here I am, ready to give all that I can give. With my artistic ability and creative ideas, I can bring them out to you throughout my photographic compositions."
A Little Bit More About Me (on the personal side)
I got married on 11/11/11 in O'ahu.
It was a beach wedding...a gorgeous day with my family and his.
I have a chocolate labrador that I wish can stay with me forever.
I live in a cute bungalow built in the 1920's.
I drive at speed limit.
I live a happy, simple, quality life.
I finally learned to skateboard.

I named my company after the word Aloha (it's so welcoming).
We love to travel anywhere.
He calls me "Bug" hence the name AlohaBug
You Want To Know My Technical Side
Nooo, I didn't just wake up the next day and decided I wanted to shoot weddings. Once upon a time in 1993, I was a junior in high school who was interested in photography. I learned the process of film photography from knowing the parts of the camera, correct exposure, to developing film and printing photographs in the dark room.
Throughout college, I took more photography courses to enhance my skills. Sure enough, there's a lot more to it than just being fun. Alongside photography, I also started taking Web Design courses. That was when Macromedia was so brand new to web design. I finished college with a degree in Computer Information Systems with an emphasis on Web Design and Photography. However, I quickly realized then that I will never be like Ansel Adams nor produce a Migrant Mother (Dorothea Lange) photograph.
I moved on with my life as a Trust Accountant at Creative Artists Agency for many years. I've seen a lot of famous movie stars, handled musicians booking tour accounts, worked with top notch Talent Agents. I thought I would retire here. However, I was given an opportunity to pursue my creative side by making a deal with my husband BEFORE getting married....you know the rest of the story above.
As you know, people say weddings are tough to handle but this is the field my heart has chosen. Along that truly comes my love for it. Every sweat that beads and drips down my forehead, upper lip, and nose...that's when you know you hired a true photographer who has the passion for what she's doing (just kidding about the sweat, I just really get hot easily!).
